Job Requirement
Key Responsibilities:
- System Monitoring and Maintenance:
- Monitor servers (Linux, Windows, etc.) for performance, security, and availability.
- Assist in maintaining system health and performance by applying patches, updates, and configuration changes.
- Help manage server backups and recovery procedures.
- Support and Troubleshooting:
- Provide basic troubleshooting for issues related to operating systems, applications, and hardware.
- Respond to service tickets and assist in resolving system-related issues under the guidance of senior administrators.
- System Administration:
- Assist with user account management, including setting up and removing user accounts, and managing permissions.
- Help in configuring and maintaining various services across operating systems, such as DNS, DHCP, web servers, and mail servers.
- Automation and Scripting:
- Work with the team to develop scripts and automation tools to improve operational efficiency.
- Learn and apply basic scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages to automate routine tasks.
- Documentation:
- Assist in creating and maintaining documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Document troubleshooting steps and solutions for future reference.
- Educational Background:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows, macOS).
- Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with command-line interfaces and basic system commands.
- Understanding of networking concepts (IP, DNS, routing).
- Basic scripting knowledge in Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar languages is a plus.
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies like VMware, KVM, or Docker is advantageous.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
