Job Requirement

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Monitoring and Maintenance:
    • Monitor servers (Linux, Windows, etc.) for performance, security, and availability.
    • Assist in maintaining system health and performance by applying patches, updates, and configuration changes.
    • Help manage server backups and recovery procedures.
  • Support and Troubleshooting:
    • Provide basic troubleshooting for issues related to operating systems, applications, and hardware.
    • Respond to service tickets and assist in resolving system-related issues under the guidance of senior administrators.
  • System Administration:
    • Assist with user account management, including setting up and removing user accounts, and managing permissions.
    • Help in configuring and maintaining various services across operating systems, such as DNS, DHCP, web servers, and mail servers.
  • Automation and Scripting:
    • Work with the team to develop scripts and automation tools to improve operational efficiency.
    • Learn and apply basic scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages to automate routine tasks.
  • Documentation:
    • Assist in creating and maintaining documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
    • Document troubleshooting steps and solutions for future reference.
Qualifications:
  • Educational Background:
    • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Basic understanding of operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows, macOS).
  • Technical Skills:
    • Familiarity with command-line interfaces and basic system commands.
    • Understanding of networking concepts (IP, DNS, routing).
    • Basic scripting knowledge in Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar languages is a plus.
    • Knowledge of virtualization technologies like VMware, KVM, or Docker is advantageous.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
